6th Annual Maso Awards Set Dates for 2026 Edition: Nominations Open September 28

BLANTYRE — The organizers of the prestigious Maso Awards have officially unveiled the roadmap for their upcoming 6th annual edition, signaling the return of one of Malawi’s premier youth and arts celebration platforms.
The organizers announced that the window for nominations and entries will officially open on September 28, 2026, allowing artists, creators, and the public to submit their works for consideration. The submission window will run for nearly a month, closing on October 23, 2026.
The Road to the Golden Trophies
Following the vetting of entries, the battle for the coveted trophies will move to the public phase. Voting is scheduled to commence on November 7, 2026, giving fans a little under a month to rally behind their favorite nominees before the lines officially close on December 4, 2026.
The entire campaign will culminate in a glamorous, high-energy awards ceremony on December 12, 2026. For this edition, the red carpet and main event will be hosted at the Apollo Auditorium right here in Blantyre, promising a night of stellar performances and celebratory milestones for Malawian creative talent.
