LILONGWE — The Malawian gospel music landscape has received a massive sonic boost as award-winning singer and songwriter Theresa Phondo officially dropped her highly anticipated project, the ‘KINGDOM ENERGY’ EP.
The extended play marks a bold, high-octane chapter in Phondo’s musical journey. It blends deeply spiritual themes with contemporary African rhythms, urban gospel beats, and an array of powerhouse vocal features.

Comprising 7 main tracks and 2 special bonus tracks, KINGDOM ENERGY bridges regional sounds by bringing together some of Southern Africa’s finest gospel and urban music heavyweights.
The title track features a massive pan-African link-up with Zambian gospel icons Pompi and Mag44, delivering an anthem centered on spiritual authority and joy. Locally, Phondo teams up with Malawi’s reigning urban music star Eli Njuchi on the bonus track “Chipako,” alongside a soulful collaboration with vocal powerhouse Beracah on “Bwera.”
